Ideas for Creating a Hawaiian Theme
If you are having a Hawaiian themed Wedding, there are so many fun ideas for decorating and setting the mood. Why not have hula girl figurines at the place settings. Let hibiscus and orchids be your main floral themes for centerpieces, corsages and bouquets.. Have potted real palms or large artifical palms or tiki statues line the aisles for your ceremony and light tiki torches to show the way of your nighttime processional or recessional. Give small sacks of macademia nuts, tied with ribbons, as favors to your guests.
The bride can wear a puka shell necklace with matching bracelets & anklets. Both bride and groom can sport heirloom Hawaiian gold wedding bands with etched floral designs. Finally, instead of a veil or tiara, the bride should wear a lei on her head, woven with tropical flowers and ferns. Such a headpiece is traditionally worn by brides at Hawaiian weddings.
